Just wondering if those shows at the Roxy were filmed. I recall ordering a Betamax video tape called SAHB Live at The Roxy, it was in Black & White. Don't know which Roxy though? Thing is, it was never released for some reason.

What a wonderful heartwarming tale - thank you for taking the time and trouble to share it with us George - it makes you wonder, what else lies awaiting rediscovery in SAHBland.........

I'm genuinely surprised and a little disappointed at the spontaneous burst of apathy in response to this item - I think it's sensational

This guy left me really undecided - something not quite right about it all - if it's true, then a great memory for him to have and share with us - but he ain't been back since and we DO get the odd (very odd) weird post

Its funny coz I had a similar tale...At Sheffield Boardwalk a few years back I was standing in front of Zal, when he was doing one if his famous guitar frenzy moments, and his scarf that he had worn for years (on his wrist) flew off his arm right into my Sweaty Greedy Grasps...Now I thought, how cool, this will look good in a nice wee frame....But feeling a bit guilty that maybe it meant something to him (like Mel Gibson in braveheart kept a scarf from his woman) I gave it back to him...I believe it turned up and raised money at the first charity SAHBSTOCK...so some good came out of me returning it....Still think it would have looked better on my wall... ;D Cheerz md

How could BR have known how high Brian would bid? Sounds like mates rates and not entirely kosher to me - and the charity was last on the list of priorities.

How could BR have known how high Brian would bid? Sounds like mates rates and not entirely kosher to me - and the charity was last on the list of priorities. The first thing wrong with this is I didnt know how high Brian would bid only that it was whatever it would take. The second thing is he wasnt a mate at the time but TK was so really I shouldn't have told TK and let the two of them try to out bid each other.Other factors were as you well know at your behest Zenn got the Chris frame and the Julian was pulled to present to his wife at the ferry gig which neither you or Julians wife attended so I gave it to Julian. You also know who got what because I told you so for the record Sarge got the Ted his was the only bid,Zenn got the Chris,Julian got the Julian for free, the Max wasnt bid on (and that was a class job)I bought the alex photo for £50 and Sarge bought The toy soldier photo for a present.Sarge offered to pay for the cost of the framing from expenses but this would have taken most of the money so I declined the offer. To assuage my guilt at TK not getting the Zal I made him a special frame (at my own expense)which was presented to him by Zal at the meal. And ask Penny what else went on there .Its posts such as that quoted that make me not want to join in anymore NOT really about Alex is it .Any SAHB,SAHTB,or outfit gig I can attend I will the music still lives not a day goes by that I dont listen to it.So roll on Sahbstock 3 arranged on Chris's birthday that was definitely one of your better ideas.Hi Ginnie just checked missed some punctuation again still its the thought that counts.

I think BR is referring to the fact that he, Cavey and myself put more money in at the end of the evening to cover a shortfall in the bill. I don't know if anyone else did the same though. I'm sorry its not something racy, Mrs, rather boring tale really, I should have made up that me and Catherine were dancing on the tables!!

I know all i had to eat was a main course curry and one pint of lager, same as T.K. and Chad, although Chad might have hade 2 pints ( the cheek o' the boay ) and we paid up what was ask for when it came to divying up the bill, and it was a fair price, so fingers cannae be pointed at us, look further afield folks.
