Cheers Suze - I'm just not clever enough to post links!
So, it looks like we are ON!!!!!
The hope of the organizer - who has put an enormous amount of personal time, energy and dedication into this project, is that there is a really good turnout.
Tell anyone you know who isn't nailed down; spread it like a rash across Facebook and any other social network site with which you have connections.
It's also hoped that the weekend will pan out like a mini (or maxi!!) convention; fans bringing bits and bobs of memorabilia for others to see; there will be the opportunity to submit your questions to SAHB members - get your thinking caps ON!!!
The exhibit itself, with additional photographic material, should be great - behind glass but things you have never seen before at such close quarters.
If anyone has a good and useable idea to add to the running order or content of the weekend, either pm me or contact Stu Yahoo.
It would be really useful if we could start a list (sorry, Hoggy ) of names of those who intend to be there - the attendance figures make a difference as to which facility, within People's Palace, that is given over to us for the weekend.
The ideal would be a true celebration of the sensational Alex Harvey - only you can make the difference.

I had hoped that, given that SAHB will not be playing, Chris might air his Outfit, very very probably, the notice is way too short -
I just figured if there was a pile of good home folks all in one place during the day it made sense to stay together and socialise in the evening before regrouping on the Sunday.........
mibbes decamp to The Admiral or somewhere (to be booked and paid for by those attending for our exclusive use) a wee dance, a wee drink, a wee natter.....but we'll need to be quick!!

There is a Premier Inn on Ballater Street, which is very close to the PP - have been unable to find any of their "specials" ie cheap rooms - maybe because it's a Saturday night - be helpful if those who are staying over were to keep this aspect updated......

[glow=red,2,300]Oakey Doakey folks, it's been placed in my capable hands to find somewhere for a bevy after the Peoples Palace has closed it's doors for the day on Saturday the 4th Feb 2012. I need numbers, who fancies a wee night out with fellow S.A.HB. fans from all over the globe ? we have fans from as far away as Australia coming so lets show a bit of good old Glasgow hospitality to our friends and get our arses down here. Im trying for The Clutha Vaults, nice and near the Peoples Palace and in the centre of Glasgow town, will keep you all up-dated as soon as i get confirmation.[/glow]

This is really gathering momentum now and is shaping up to be a sensational event.
The People's Palace are doing an eflyer - we'll get it posted on here as soon as we have it - then - all you have to do, is print some off and help to publicise the weekend
They do say, if you build it, they will come - I do hope so

That's it confirmed folks, the place to meet fellow SAHBsters after the Peoples Palace Exhibition is The Clutha Vaults, about 6ish. there's a solo singer on between 4 and 7 then a band called Heavy Load will play from 9 till late, a Rock band who cover some S.A.H.B. tunes.Space will be made for 50/60 of us, although the venue will have other , regular punters in too. The manager assures me he will have nibbles for munching, but if you want a proper meal, then you can pop out for that, there's plenty of places around. Hope to see you all there, and make a special day into a special night too......Vambo rool ok.......The Clutha Vaults 167-169 Stockwell Street Glasgow, G1 4SP Scotland
