What a great weekend, nice to see the grumpy old men together again. And the Roger Whittaker prize for cardigan wearer of the year goes to ------------ drum roll Uncle Zalbert Cleminson, still as cool as fu#k. Isuspect you may mean Val Doonican........Roger Whittaker whistled, Val was known for his woolies

So pleased that my name is on the Vambo wall, thanks Catherine! My pleasure Milady - no room for the hyphenated H-R title, so I went with Peacock

Got home around midnight on Sunday......to this!!!! Not a flake did we see in Scotland but as soon as we crossed the border, the hills on either side were covered with snow; the roads were clear though and we never did see any of the freezing fog that was forecast - apparently they closed Telford Town Centre on Saturday with police escorts ferrying convoys of cars to safety!!! WTF??!! What if they lived in Canada or New York? I was laughing at the news on the EBC, they were promising "as much as 10 cm of snow" in a 5 minute long news report. Wow!

I keep meaning to ask - if anyone has copies of the coverage the event had in the Daily Record and the Evening Times, would you send me a copy please?
I was asked by one of the "famous fans" for follow up info and it would be nice to send same to Trudy.

Thank you all for posting all of those excellent photos! The peoples Palace looks wonderful and the garden where Alex bench is, is beautiful. The tree planting videos I agree were bittersweet because I miss The Sensational Alex Harvey Band too. I liked reading the messages from Alex more famous fans as well, he made such a great artistic impression on so many people. I couldn't be there in person but because of all of you I didn't miss it completely, lol. Thank you SAHB Brothers and Sisters.

Almost completely unrelated, it comes to my ears that more than once on Faceache, it has been remarked that we all looked cold and did the PP have no heating.
Actually, the reason so many folks kept their coats on was because we were in a museum and winter garden - no public cloakroom facility, it's not a conference centre or a hotel, it's a museum and I can't praise the staff too highly.
The winter garden has fabulous underfloor heating system - it's growing palm trees and poinsettia in Glasgow in February - however, it was cold outside and that was where we had been.
Bizarrely, that feels better.
