From the night of Cheek to Cheek......we were at the front of the dress circle in the Apollo, a limo having collected Mum & Dad from the house......although Dad was ADAMANT he had NOT ordered a taxi ....I was charged with looking after my nephew, about 4 or 5 at the time.
He had been at rehearsals that day and had a great pic taken of him playing Ted's drums, so he knew something we didn't know......however, as we took our seats, the little darling asked for a choc ice (really? in the Apollo - memory tells me "yes"!)
Choc ice consumed, hanky spat on and beautiful little face wiped, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band took the stage.......and the wee sweetie at my side promptly nodded off to sleep.
Anthem greatly impressed Dad (famous for saying of Alex "he can sing nane") and the band eventually left the stage to the normal tumultuous applause, whistling, stamping and cheering......
Roy opened his huge blue eyes and said "Oh, no, Auntie Cafrin, I've missed the ladies with the bums........... Your dad was Adam Ant???

Then there was the time I met Zal backstage after a gig at the Manchester palace theatre and I gave him a plectrum i had bought specially so he would play that amazing cherry red Gibson SG with it.He sorta siad "Llke what you give me dis for-I only use ones specially made for me" or summat like that.then he took pity on me and took it away.I got some of the dry ice from Anthem and it was in me mams fridge for years. I also met him in the trafford centre- but i never said a word because he was off duty and I am a scarredy cat Ged see you all at the edinburgh sat gig.
