Right folks, good home folks, Cath has been a massive help tryin' tae get this wee gig o' oors up and runnin', so what we need from you is a date that suits everybody, probably November but if there's a date free in October we will try and get it. Dows would seem to be our best option, but there seems very little chance of having a fan band as we cant find enough folks who would/could play. There will be live music, and as much S.A.H.B. stuff as possible, and the usual raffle will take place, but no T-Shirts will be printed, but really it's mainly a gatherin' of the S.A.H.B. fan clan, all monies raised will still go to the Alex memorial. So come on folks we need all the backing we can get NOW, this was an inch away from falling on its arse until Cath re-lit my fire for it, so help us out folks by coming along and bringing as many friends as possible, that's the sales pitch aw done ;D

Ok folks, i took the time to go a-venue huntin', this is what i came up with, gies yer thoughts......... That's me went and seen Dows today, sorry, ah wisnae that impressed wi it, nae stage, naewhere for the bands tae get changed except the lavvies, bring in oor ain lights and sounds, and maybe open till 1am maybe no'. Thought it would hold a 100 at a tight squeeze, 120?? not sure about that, so i knicked along to the Admiral to see the script there, cos we know what thats like and were happy with it before. They told me £100 for the venue and £80 for the lights/sounds and backline, plus it stays open until 1am on a Saturday if it's not a club night, which the 19th Nov isnt, total £180, and say £20 to get tickets printed, Thats £200, it holds 170/180 folks, at a £5 a head, thats say £850 ,plus what you make in a raffle, take the £200 off, that still leaves you with a sizeable amount to give to the memorial fund, so i have provisionally booked it, but we need to really move if we want to take it. Oh take a few quid off that amount, cos we need to keep the bands in booze, a couple of crates from Tescos ought to do that.......Right, spread the word, i need numbers and i need them now

There's nothing wrong with "SAHBstock IV"........... I totally agree, but not for this night, firstly, it wont be all S.A.H.B. based music, secondly, Alex's memorial is not a charity, Sahbstock was, and always should be, Thirdly ( is there such a word??? ) this is just a get the gither for fans of S.A.H.B. and Rock music for to huv a rerr terr, and raise some cash for Alex's memorial. No name required.

Already checked the flights and hotel (although I can't fly at the moment should be okay in November) I will carry you if I have to!! Hoggy can have a karma for wearing out his shoe leather in the name of SAHBsterism and Cath COULD have had a karma, but there is no where to put one.

Ideas please. Phoenix Nite.............as it rises from the ashes SAHBstock IV................
It gives continuity and may even sell some tickets for you
Nowhere is it writ or carved in stone that any such event has to raise funds for a registered charity - that was just the choice of the organiser/s at the time of I, II & III.
Is The Alex Harvey Memorial Fund not a good cause, dear to our hearts? Why can the proceeds of a SAHBstock not be donated to it?
The event is returning to its roots; The Admiral; much smaller and more intimate event with a party feel rather than a gig full of 200 strangers.
Organised and attended by SAHB fans raising funds for a SAHB cause.
SAHBstock IV, SAHBstock was good enough for the first such event.....
However, there are several good suggestions on the preceeding pages of this thread, despite which, my vote now goes to SAHBstock IV.
