Sitting around waiting for Vic, I got out my acoustic and was playing "Andy Warhol" by Bowie. I can't remember much of the words but its still fun to play.

This is my usual routine..plucking away on the Harmony, while feeding the fish and patroling the forum on the nightshift.. currently mucking out "Born Under A BAD Sign" Is that an acoustic Harmony or electric? My acoustic is a Yamaha 12 string (but I use just six - don't ask which ones). I just started playing "Cortez the Killer" but it got real boring real fast. You might notice that I play lots of Neil Young.... I wish I could find the chords to songs on the web instead of TAB. I must have a learning difficulty because I don't have the patience to learn tabs.

I don't think I know that one... ;D ;D I'm playing "The Campaigner" right now... I am a lonely visitor. I came to late to cause a stir, Though I campaigned all my life towards that goal. I hardly slept the night you wept Our secret's safe and still well kept Where even Richard Nixon has got soul. Even Richard Nixon has got Soul.Another Neil Young tune! That's actually my favourite of his. It's not even on any of his regular albums, just the Decade set. Give it a listen if you've never heard it, its quite beautiful.

Its the acoustic, but its strung with a set of electric "10's"I have a pick up on it and love goofing with the slide on it thru the Line 6.
I got an Ovation but I tweak that also; Got phosphor bronze on that but with a plain G string (.20) sos I can bend it with some oomph
Dont like tabs either but the kid is very adept with it

"Politician" by Cream
Hey now baby, get into my big black car. Hey now baby, get into my big black car. I want to just show you what my politics are.
Im a political man and I practice what I preach. Im a political man and I practice what I preach. So dont deny me baby, not while youre in my reach.
I support the left, though Im leaning, leaning to the right. I support the left, though Im leaning to the right. But Im just not there when its coming to a fight.
Hey now baby, get into my big black car. Hey now baby, get into my big black car. I want to just show you what my politics are.

Man, I've had "Anthem" in my head for almost two weeks now... I want to record my version of it but the song is almost holy to me and I don't want to be sacrilegious. I learned the keyboard and guitar parts for the most part. For drums I would have to use the keyboards built in drum machine - I can get the beat but no beautiful snare beat. Vocals would be a challenge! I guess the keyboard can do a voice and bagpipe part too. I keep wanted to do this project but it seems too big. Ugg... I should get over my reservations and just do it!

It's about 65-75 depending on the version,The live version is more funereal.
PLAY IT IN C MAJOR OR A MINOR (less of Hugh's dreaded black notes)

I play it in A minor - so much easier. On guitar I've fooled around playin it in A minor configuration but capoed on the third fret.

If i was to use a Capo my old teacher would come round and chop off my fingers. He thought a capo was the tool of Beelzebub himself. I won't be attempting the vocals , no-way could i do it justice. I can't even sing my own bloody songs ;D

I can't even sing my own bloody songs ;D Capo's are very useful too in that they give a different SOUND to your work. Shit, put it on the seventh fret and you've got somewhat of a mandolin! I don't use one very much...
