The story behind that - me and Vic were chatting on MSN last Saturday night and I suggested something about just talking on a regular phone - he gave me his number and we talked for about two hours I think- till bout 2 a.m. Actually I was kinda pissed so I probably did most of the talking, and with my hearing at about 70% I don't know if I caught all of what he said. I'm hoping the bill isn't that high, but my wife will let me know!

Learning "Gang Bang" on keyboards. Playing along to the song and recording it. Thought I did a good job and was pleased with myself until I realized that I recorded the SAHB track too onto my keyboard track. Uggg!

Trying to play those two big fat bass notes Chris does live at the beginning of Compliments... I just can't make them sound the same - and its just one note!

Trying to play Faith Healer while wearing a Sunderland tee at the same time... (and I know a lot of you musicians will be very envious of my 6 X 4 1/2 foot practice hall...)

Trying to play bass to the Beatles "I Saw Her Standing There" I know its a simple riff but... let me explain...
When I was 13 I had a very serious accident (almost lost my friggin' arm!) that left me with nerve and tendon damage to my left hand - my index finger in useless playing (except for a so so barre chord), there's numbness down the side of the next finger, I can't bend my thumb, and my wrist tendons get sore easily. I've adapted the fingering for most chords and made up a few of my own...
Now if I had been smarter, when I picked up the bass and guitar at 16 I would have learned left handed but I wasn't that smart (too late to switch now). So certain "simple" riffs can be difficult for me if I have to stretch real quickly between notes. Its a pregnant dog, but on the other hand, I never did have to learn Stairway to Heaven because it opens up with a chord that uses four fingers...

... going to my cavernous Ginnie Ampitheatre to play bass along to, lets see... Hot CIty!
(I wonder what will come crashing down tonight...)
Later: Went all right I guess. Only put an eye out when a palette plate hit me. Plus the Cd skipped a bit. Found out near the end that if I turned "bass" down to 0, and "treble" up to 10 that it solved the problem. Of course it didn't sound like a bass anymore...

epiphone les paul gold top Lynyrd Skynyrd 30th Anniversary model learning stuff of the God and guns album Someday - someday, I'm gonna get me one of those Epiphones! I'd love to get their Black Beauty model. I was also wonderin' - are Gretsch guitars as good quality as they used to be? They have some beautiful ones in the $700-$800 range at Long-Mcquade Music.

Absolutely Ginnie-The Electromatic 5120 was the one I had when we were on Skype; I tried the solid bodies as well; only thing I can say is you might want to upgrade the pick ups
