Looking forward to it, we're doing various festivals and events through the year but November is a tour where we will be playing about 20 shows so we'll advertise sahbstock 3 on the 10,000 tour flyers which will be printed in february We're hoping to play somewhere on the night before either halfway to glasgow from yorkshire on just another night in glasgow so we'll see what happens. We're hiring a 14 sleeper tourbus for the weekend and bringing some close friends and family with us so that should be another 10 tickets needed for sahbstock Hope everyone has had a great xmas & new year! Matt www.invisibleidols.comyou can find us on facebook, myspace & twitter too good to see an original band on for this, rather than all tributes. gooood lookin out peace

SAHBstock III wil be the 2nd year Invisible Idols have played for us as they played at last years event & loved it that much they contacted me & asked if they could return this year & of course i was more than happy to cofirm them on the bill.
Of course Matt did a solo spot at the 1st SAHBstock.

Sadly, it was an unfortunate cross between principles and a communication breakdown that resulted in Chad not performing at SAHBstock II; he, along with the others in the fan band, did a really good and laudable job at SAHBstockI - Matt is and has long been a SAHB fan, he has his own music and band and is more than happy to strike up for any and all things SAHB

to hell with the moral highground an all that. i did what was right .and acted in a surpisingly gracious and reverential manner of someone who'd been "dun a wrong un" as our neighbours down south would say.
sahbstock is everybodies, not belonging to any one individual, i was but a humble, not to mention grateful servant to the cause. (hell id've been giving out aftershave in the toilets if it meant i was involved) it was an honour to get up an do some tracks with the band and to share my own music with folk i held in high esteem. clearly it was felt that the singer an guitarist from the first show had to go (for whatever reason).
the mustard fell off the hotdog and is now tarnished. call me dramatic but it is what it is.
no need for other folk to jump on and explain stuff, cos this is how i see it. Eyes Wide open folks.
peace
p.s. i posted on this thread not to cause bother or stir $hit up. only to make my point that there should be original scottish bands up at sahbstock (it'd be good to support your local scene eh?). tribute Alex and the band of course but them only would be a boss idea, but im not the boss.
peace again, and much love

For the last time, the fan band that played at SAHBstock was alaways the band that was gonnae be first choice to play at SAHBstock II &almost definately SAHBstock III. Now I have lost a very good friend because of this which saddens me greatly but sh it happens &people make decisions so I move on. The truth of the WHOLE matter is that when a discussion took place about putting together a tribute band to go out & gig outwith SAHBstock the opinion was taken that the fan band as it was just wasn't good enough, a decision which was made by other people apart from me. Can I just add.... Chad you weren't gracious at all (in public maybe) you sent me a rather accusing insulting PM which in my eyes wasn't gracious at all, Oh & why have an opinion about an event you are never ever going to attend again?? If you feel something should be done to help young local bands then organise something! Thanks to everybody who still support SAHBstock

If you feel something should be done to help young local bands then organise something! Thanks to everybody who still support SAHBstock i speak the truth sir your not adverse to being insulting and accusing yourself. true, i said you were sneaky and underhand, i wont hide from that. maybe you werent those things but thats certainly the manner in which myself and john were treated and replaced. no communication at all. there was absolutley no reason to ignore us we're both mature adults and couldve taken the "your not good enough" news on the chin. actions taken were cowardly (thats how it looks) also we had TWO rehearsals together. is that how you (as a collective) gauge ability?!?!? hardly A good judgement. given more time, the next event would have been a major improvement on the last. its kinda conceited and insulting to think that all that was needing fixed was the singer and guitarist. how would it feel to you if it was the general consensus that the drummer from the tribute band wasnt up to it? or bass player or whoever. theres inconsistencies in your post too, first of all we were supposed to playall three events but then were judged to be not good enough?!!?!? theres a grand canyon sized hole in that story. you've no clue about what i do, i support my scene across many genres. i put bands forward for gigs and push original music. so i'd suggest speakin about what you know rather than what you think you know. oh, and i can have an opinion on anything i like. this is a public forum. everything is up for debate. i could comment on a mr universe competition. doesnt mean i want to attend one.
