Any live band must count Sir Gin - we're off to see The Cellar Fellas on Sunday at The Plough (country pub) Allscott (first left at the last telegraph pole just on the right immediately in front of the middle of nowhere!!) and they'll be just grand!!

Last 'proper' band? Maggie Bell and the Blues Quintet last Tuesday.
Last gig? Jim Kirkpatrick and Heavy Weather at one of my favourite localish haunts. I only uploaded this video a couple of days ago, so nice excuse to give it an outing.

IAN Last gig? Jim Kirkpatrick and Heavy Weather at one of my favourite localish haunts. ] Not The Jolly Tar perchance? Nantwich Jazz Festival:- The Blockheads.. very good. The Animals...not bad Nearly Dan...excellent but not my thing really Rumours of Fleetwood Mac.. Did' nt like them(spoilt by seeing the P Green, J Spencer, D Kirwan, line up way back) although they probably were the best supported act of the weekend(apart from The Hammers at goodison Park) The Move...Brilliant,highlight of the entire weekend(well after The Hammers draw at goodison park Sadly, local gigs are getting thin on the ground with the closing of bothThe M Club and the venue for a SAHb gig or 3 in the past..The Limelight also gone.

Francis Rossi at the Glee Club Cardiff Tuesday night (18th May) Very entertaining and funny man. Played lots of Quo songs that you wouldn't normally hear (Electric Arena was amazing) Great venue, the sound was excellent and it was a sell-out, I had to get a cancellation ticket.

IAN Last gig? Jim Kirkpatrick and Heavy Weather at one of my favourite localish haunts. ] Not The Jolly Tar perchance? Yes indeedy ZZW... Not exactly local for me, coming from south Stoke but the JT is one of the very few places within easy striking distance putting on good live music. I didn't know that The 'M' club had shut already.. that's sad news but not altogether suprising. People around here seem to have lost that habit of going out to see live music at this level. The last time I was at The Limelight, was to see the excellent American guitarist, Carvin Jones. It was an embarrassment when so few turned out to see him and the only time I have seen a musician of his calibre come off stage at the end of a show to shake hands with every single member of the audience. This was in stark contrast to seeing bands like SAHB, The Hamsters, Michael Schenker etc play to packed houses, not to mention the many good bad and ugly tribute bands lol RIP The Limelight - Long live rock!

Good Lord ...Juicy Lucy are on at the Jolly Tar tonite(sun)
Zigzags un-necessary gig update...regardez':-
Well it was Juicy Lucy in name only. No original band members. The current 3 piece were part of the 'Juicy Lucy' that toured with original frontman Ray Owens over the last few years. He no longer performs due to illness so the rest of his band carry on as the 'original Juicy Lucy which they patently are not.
They were pretty good all the same.
